Job Description

As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be a part of a small and experienced finance team and will contribute to all aspects of the accounts receivable process and will assist the accounts payable team, as necessary. The ideal candidate for this position can manage competing priorities while maintaining a high quality of work. Additionally, we expect this person to contribute to process improvements that position the company for longer term success.

Key responsibilities:

  • Actively contribute to the collections process by regularly following-up with customers that have overdue accounts
  • Manage the receipt of payments and verify that all deposits are recorded accurately in the accounting system
  • Establish relationships with key customers and respond to any inquiries regarding billing or account status
  • Communicate effectively with the sales team to resolve invoicing discrepancies
  • Assist the accounts payable team with invoice processing
  • Contribute to the month-end reporting process

Qualifications

The ideal candidate:

  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable experience in fast-paced environment
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Can manage competing priorities while maintaining a high quality of work
  • Post secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration is an asset
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks

Location:

  • This a full-time role located in Kitchener, Ontario
  • DOZR is currently working remotely and this role will require the successful candidate to work from home for approximately the first six months. We will consider candidates requiring permanent/flexible work from home arrangements
