Having insurance when renting equipment is the best way to make sure you're covered in the event of an accident, theft, damage or act of nature.

If you have insurance independently or through your company then you can absolutely add it to your rental. In order for the insurance to be eligible, a $1 million/occurrence of commercial liability insurance is required.
